CITY CYCLING 2023

From 4 to 24 June 2023, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, together with 19 cities and municipalities, participated for the second time in the international STADTRADELN campaign of the Climate Alliance. For the first time, a big rally took place on 4 June to kick off the campaign. The destination was the Kellerwald National Park Centre in Vöhl-Herzhausen, where the National Park Festival and UNESCO World Heritage Day were celebrated. A colourful market and social get-together brought together more than 500 cyclists in the best weather.

In Waldeck-Frankenberg, the result has been determined:

  • 2,499 Cyclists
  • 68/600 Parliamentarians
  • 217 teams
  • 629,223 kilometres
  • 102 t CO2 avoidance
