Democracy Conference of the Network for Tolerance on 6 April

Climate change, pandemics, war in Ukraine: there are currently many special challenges that can only be overcome together and by society as a whole. Under the motto "Transformation in rural areas - How do current challenges change us?", the Network for Tolerance invites all interested parties to the Korbach District Hall on 6 April at 6 pm.

At this democracy conference, which will also be attended by District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst, Jens Deutschendorf, State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing, will speak about the future of democracy. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Claudia Neu from the University of Göttingen will give a keynote speech on the potential of new social places in rural areas. She has also conducted research on this in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. In addition to the lectures, there will also be discussion groups dealing with the topics "New social places - Who is involved?", "Does involvement make sense? New target groups?" or "Where is our democracy heading? Utopias".

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 6 April from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the district council meeting room of the Korbach district hall, observing the appropriate Corona rules.
