District presents voluntary initiatives in Advent calendar

Join in, get involved, make a difference: Volunteering is an essential pillar of society - also in Waldeck-Frankenberg. In order to make voluntary initiatives and associations and their offers better known, the district is therefore launching an Advent calendar campaign on Facebook in the run-up to Christmas - and presenting a different initiative every day. Interested parties are welcome to register by 13 November.

The plan is to present an association, an initiative or another form of civic engagement on the district's Facebook page every day in December until Christmas. "In this way, we would like to offer the many committed people in Waldeck-Frankenberg the opportunity to present themselves briefly and thus gain more reach for their commitment and perhaps even new helping hands," says Theresa Deigmann, who is in charge of the "Ehrenamt läuft" project in the district's village and regional development department. Whether it's a riding club, a disaster relief organisation or a church choir - anyone who is committed is welcome to come forward and join in.

To register, all you have to do is submit the necessary information and a photo that describes your civic engagement well. All information about the Advent Calendar and the registration process can be found here. Registrations are possible until 13 November. It is also important to note that only initiatives that submit complete documents can be considered. The district is looking forward to receiving numerous entries for the Advent Calendar.
