Relocation to new building: limited access to health services
After about two years of construction, the new administrative building of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district on Südring has been completed. In mid-April, the relocation of the specialised services, which will be housed in the new building, will begin. The health service will therefore only be accessible to a limited extent in the second half of April.
The health department is the first department of the district to move into the new building. The Youth and Social Affairs departments will follow later. The Health Department is thus leaving the long-standing administrative building Am Kniep in Korbach and will in future be located in the administrative district at Südring. The old location will be completely abandoned. The relocation of the 42 employees of the health department will start at the end of this week and take about two weeks.
For the citizens, this is associated with minor restrictions: During the move, no appointments can be made with the staff of the department, and school entrance examinations will not be possible during this time. The dismantling of the IT hardware in the old building and the installation of the same in the new one will also lead to limited availability by telephone and e-mail for a short time. During this time, the health service can be reached via the central telephone number 05631 - 954 462 and by e-mail at gesundheit@lkwafkb.de.
The district will implement the move as quickly as possible so that all services are available again as soon as possible. According to the plan, this should be the case on 2 May. All citizens are asked for their understanding for these restrictions due to the move.
