First district council meeting of the year on 13 February

The first meeting of the Waldeck-Frankenberg District Council in 2023 will take place on Monday, 13 February, starting at 2 p.m. in the Korbach town hall. District Council Chairman Rainer Hesse cordially invites all interested parties to attend the public meeting.

After question time and the current affairs hour, the agenda begins with deliberations and resolutions on the budget statutes and the budget for the 2023 financial year, as well as on the investment programme and the results and financial planning for the years 2022 - 2026. In this way, the committee creates the basis for further administrative action in the current year. The topic of "cold showers in sports halls" is also taken up again in an agenda item at the beginning of the meeting.

Various motions of the district parliamentary groups, but also of individual district parliamentarians, deal with the work of the Women's Office, a "wolf management guided by reason", the presentation of the planning for the new building of the primary school Goddelsheim until the district parliament meeting on 10 July 2023 and the preparation of a school concept for the school location Bad Wildungen, also until the district parliament meeting in July. The agenda items "Participation report 2021", "Budget implementation 2022 in the fourth quarter" and "Excess expenditure, district roads/aid for foreign refugees and migrants/hydraulic engineering facilities" provide information on sub-areas of the district's finances.

The 71 members of the district council meet in the Korbach town hall, as the district council meeting hall is still not available. Anyone wishing to attend the public district council meeting is asked to register by calling 05631 954-325 or emailing kreisorgane@lkwafkb.de.
