Hessentag in Fulda: Groups wanted for parade on 21 June

Hessentag, the largest public festival in the state, is being held for the 63rd time this year, while the state of Hesse is also celebrating its 80th anniversary. The city of Fulda will host the state anniversary Hessentag in 2026. On 21 June, the widely known and popular parade will conclude the state festival. Floats, music groups, traditional costume groups and other performing groups from Waldeck-Frankenberg can also take part. The district is represented by five groups in the parade.

Bringing the diversity of Hesse to life and reflecting the Hessentag motto "Foll hessisch!" was the aim of the city of Fulda for the parade. Waldeck-Frankenberg's contributions should present those local specialities that set Hesse's largest district apart from other districts and independent towns. Music groups in particular are desirable for the group contingent. We also welcome applications from groups/motive floats that have not yet taken part in the Hessentag parade.

All persons, clubs, associations and interest groups from the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg interested in taking part in the procession are requested to submit their application to the district administration or their town or municipal administration by 20 February 2026. Further information on the Hessentagsfestzug 2026 on 21 June in Fulda can be obtained by calling 05631 954-1337 or by email. The application documents can also be requested there.
