Municipal education management
Municipal education management
In the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, a modern management tool for education is being established with Datenbasiertes Kommunales Bildungsmanagement, or DKBM for short. The aim is to further develop educational programmes systematically and in line with demand - on the basis of reliable data. The focus is on education as a central task for the future: it should support people in all phases of life, enable social participation and contribute to securing skilled labour.
The establishment of an education monitoring system forms the basis for this. This involves collecting and analysing data on participation in education, transitions and framework conditions and transferring this into regular education reports. These serve as the basis for strategic decisions and specific recommendations for action.
Regional diversity is particularly important here: as the largest rural district in Hesse, Waldeck-Frankenberg specifically takes different local conditions into account. At the same time, educational programmes are better interlinked, gaps in provision are closed and duplicate structures are avoided.
DKBM sees education as a joint task - across departments, transparently and in dialogue with citizens and education stakeholders. The goal is a harmonised, permeable and sustainable education system - from early childhood to adulthood.
