Family-friendly employer" seal of quality

The balance between private and professional life is becoming more and more important - whether in childcare or caring for relatives as well as in all the challenges of everyday life. As an employer, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg attaches great importance to considering concerns around family friendliness within the individual work situation and taking them seriously.

In order to document and further develop this commitment, the district administration applied last year for the seal of quality "Family-friendly employer in the state of Hesse". Beforehand, different interest groups from the district administration worked together to draw up an agreement with common goals for further improving family friendliness. The concept was convincing, the application was successful - and so in June of this year in Wiesbaden we were honoured by the State of Hesse as a family-friendly employer.

In the coming period, we will successively implement the measures and goals that have been worked out. We will start with so-called care guides: in the future, they will be available to all employees for advice on the topic of caring for relatives, and they will provide advice and support on how those affected can best combine caring for relatives with their professional activities. Further measures will follow.
