Family midwives

Family midwives

Family midwives are registered midwives with additional training. They accompany expectant parents from pregnancy until the child is 1 year old. Questions about the child's health development, care and nursing as well as how to interpret the child's signals and what needs can be derived from them can be discussed with the family midwife. She helps with questions and uncertainties. Worries and family burdens can also be discussed with her. Family midwives also look after single parents and underage mothers. Depending on the needs, the family midwife usually provides support in 1 to 2 appointments per week. The help of a family midwife offers an early support option for a good start - right from the beginning!
