School social work

School social work

Within the framework of school social work, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg supports the people who work and learn in schools. Whether open office hours for the school community, mediation, dispute resolution and crisis intervention or counselling for parents, teachers, the student body and individual case assistance as well as socio-educational support: the professionals in the district's school social work support school operations at numerous schools in Waldeck-Frankenberg - in close cooperation with complementary specialised services and other institutions.

Pro profile development & career guidance

Theory meets practice: The "Pro Berufsorientierung" programme, which is unique in Hesse, already offers a two-and-a-half-year vocational orientation phase for young people in lower secondary schools and intermediate secondary schools at the school level.

JUMP:
Youth with prospects

The project Youth with Perspectives, or JUMP for short, supports pupils, trainees, young adults and migrants with special needs in the transition from school to work.
