Why learn German? Language is the key to integration. It is important if you want to live in Germany permanently. Language skills enable access to work. We use language to communicate with friends and acquaintances in everyday life. In addition to the German language, one should know a few things about the country and society: History, culture and legal system are part of it.
Integration courses for refugees
If you want to live in Germany, you should learn German. This is important in order to look for work, to fill out applications or also to get to know new people. All this is taught in the integration course.
Financial support for language courses
For participants receiving benefits, the district and the Kreisvolkshochschule pay the fees for German courses. People with a migration background can thus receive even more targeted support in language development.
Language support for Ukrainian protection seekers
The district is setting up a program that will enable Ukrainian refugees to learn German as quickly as possible. Language guides are also being sought to accompany them when they go to the authorities.
