The department of district organs, organisation, awarding of contracts and public transport is responsible for all organisational issues of the district administration as well as for the smooth running of its operations. The handling of the meetings of the district council, its committees and the district committee is also one of its tasks. Other tasks include local rail passenger transport, supervision of Energie Waldeck Frankenberg GmbH as a local public transport company and EU funding.

Submission office
The submission office of the district carries out public tender procedures. It issues the specifications and receives the bidding documents from the companies.
County law of the county
In addition to laws and regulations at European, federal and state level, the activities of the district are determined by legal regulations at district level - in particular by statutes adopted by the district council.
