The central control centre of the district is also located here. Ensuring preventive and defensive measures against fires and fire and other hazards as well as the defence against disasters are important tasks in this specialised service. In this way, the self-protection of the population is complemented by official measures.
The rescue service - both ground-based and mountain, air and water rescue - also serves to avert danger and provide health care - and ensures that the population is provided with emergency care and patient transport services.
