Youth Employment Agency
Youth Employment Agency
No young person should be lost: The Youth Employment Agency, which the Waldeck-Frankenberg district set up together with the neighboring Schwalm-Eder district, has set itself the task of bundling the district's diverse and good support services for young people in the transition between school and work.
The cooperation agreement for Germany's only cross-county youth employment agency was signed in December 2018 between the counties, the state education authority, the employment agency and the job centers. The background to this is that although there is a wide range of good support for young people in the transition from school to work in both districts, cooperation within this distinctive landscape of services still represents a challenge.
With the establishment of the Youth Employment Agency, the cooperation partners have committed themselves to meeting this challenge. Young people are no longer to be considered exclusively within the framework of their own legal mandate, if necessary. Instead, cooperation is to take place with those actors who are in contact with a young person at the same time, have been in contact with them in the past, or will be in contact with them in the near future. In particular, young people with special support needs on their way into the labor market should benefit from this.
