Successful market of funding opportunities for volunteers
Associations, initiatives and private individuals were able to find out how they can receive financial and non-material support for their voluntary work at the "Market of Funding Opportunities" on 27 November in the conference room of the Korbach district hall. Possible sources of funding for projects of all kinds were presented, both from the district and from external support organisations. Representatives of supporting organisations were available to answer questions. The event was organised by the village and regional development department of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg and supported by the "Network for Tolerance".
Whether projects in the social, general voluntary or cultural sector - financial support is needed in a wide variety of areas in order to continue voluntary work. However, many volunteer initiatives do not even know that there are numerous supporters and who the relevant contact persons are in the support organisations.
To the organiser's delight, the "Market of Funding Opportunities" was able to remedy this situation. Over 100 visitors took up the offer and gave positive feedback both on the evening itself and afterwards. For example, people emphasised how practical it was to have competent contact persons from the numerous supporters in one place, to be able to present their projects and to receive individual advice. The event was very informative and provided knowledge about who volunteers could turn to with their requests for support.
