District calls for participation in the mobile phone measurement week
Identifying dead spots, improving mobile communications: The nationwide mobile communications measurement week from 26 May to 1 June is all about broadband measurement - and the associated improvement of the nationwide network. The district is also calling on citizens to take part. They can actively contribute to filling in the database. And they can do so with their own smartphone.
How does it work? Citizens can use the "Broadband measurement" app to test how good their internet connection is - and pass the data on to the federal and state governments, which use it to further improve mobile phone coverage throughout Germany. Citizens are helping to create a realistic picture of mobile coverage in the district, supplementing the official data from mobile network operators with their experiences and helping to identify potential for improvement in mobile coverage.
You can take part by downloading the "Broadband measurement" app onto your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play Store - and carrying out regular tests during the measurement week. The data collected will help to improve mobile coverage in Waldeck-Frankenberg and throughout Germany.
