Leisure time for single parents in the summer holidays on the North Sea island of Sylt

As has been the case for several years now, the district's Women and Equal Opportunities Service is once again offering a holiday for single parents in 2026. The trip in the summer holidays will once again be to the North Sea island of Sylt. From 12 - 19 July, the Kassel district youth centre in the middle of the dunes between Kampen and List will be the destination and location for a parent-child holiday week full of adventure, relaxation, games and fun.

The location and facilities of the Jugendseeheim offer parents and children many opportunities to be active. Exercise, games, sport, experiencing nature - all this is on offer - but it is also the perfect place to simply relax. Further information about the accommodation can be found at www.freizeiteinrichtungen-kreiskassel.de.

The participation fee for the parent-child holiday week is 395 euros for adults, young people aged 15-17 pay 320 euros, children aged 6-14 280 euros and children aged 3-5 165 euros, children under three are free. Accommodation, meals, visitor's tax, programme and travel to and from Kassel by Deutsche Bahn are included in the fee. Single parents with a low income can receive a subsidy.

Registrations for the summer holiday for single parents on the North Sea island of Sylt are now open. For more information, please contact the Women and Equal Opportunities Department of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district on 05631 954-1318 or email frauen-chancengleichheit@lkwafkb.de.
