Now that the full count - including accumulation and panache - has been completed, the provisional final result of the district council election in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district has been finalised.

According to the results, the CDU remains the strongest parliamentary group in the district council, emerging from the district election as the strongest parliamentary group with a 30.01 per cent share of the vote and will therefore receive 21 seats in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district council. The second-strongest parliamentary group is the SPD with 20.82 per cent of the vote and 15 seats, closely followed by the AfD with 18.27 per cent and 13 seats. The Free Voters will hold 8 seats with 11.03 per cent of the vote and the Greens 7 seats with 10.47 per cent. The FDP achieved 5.43 per cent of the vote and 4 seats and the LINKE 2 seats with 3.36 per cent. The Basis, which contested the district elections for the first time, won one seat with 0.61 per cent. Voter turnout in the district election was 52.29 per cent.

The provisional final result now available takes into account all votes cast, after initially only the trend results of the unchanged ballot papers, i.e. those with list crosses, were available on Sunday evening. The final official result will only be known after the election committee has scrutinised the results. All information and results in detail can be found here.
