Incidence over 350: Further rules of the state of Hesse come into force

After the incidence value in Waldeck-Frankenberg was 466.6 today and thus above 350 for the third day in a row, additional hotspot regulations now also apply in the district according to the regulations of the state of Hesse. The additional protective measures against the coronavirus come into force from tomorrow, Tuesday.

According to the state ordinance, the 2Gplus rule then applies indoors and the 2G rule outdoors at events with more than ten people as well as in cultural, sports and recreational areas such as on the sports field, in fitness studios, in cinemas or theatres and in gastronomy and tourist overnight stays. The 2Gplus rule means that convalescents and vaccinated persons who have not yet received a booster vaccination must show a negative test certificate in addition to their vaccination or convalescent status if they wish to visit the above-mentioned areas. This does not apply to newly double-vaccinated persons whose second vaccination was less than three months ago. Furthermore, prostitution sites must also be closed again.

Furthermore, the state prohibits the public consumption of alcohol in places with a high public profile. The district has issued a corresponding general decree designating these places in the Waldeck-Frankenberg central centres: In Bad Arolsen this concerns Belgischer Platz, Kirchplatz and Große Allee, in Korbach Bahnhofstraße, Prof.-Bier-Straße and Stadtpark, and in Bad Wildungen Poststraße. However, outdoor restaurants in these areas are excluded.

"The incidence of infection in Waldeck-Frankenberg is currently expanding very strongly, in line with the national trend," says District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst. "The steeply rising incidences now unfortunately make further regulations necessary." Together with the First District Commissioner Karl-Friedrich Frese, he once again calls on all people in Waldeck-Frankenberg to continue to heed the rules in order to jointly prevent the further spread of the virus. The new rules apply from 18 January. As soon as the incidence falls below the threshold of 350 again for five consecutive days, the rules automatically come into force again on the following day.
