Hygiene instructions now available online
All persons who produce, process or serve food must attend a hygiene training course every two years. In addition to the previous option of attending the training at the specialist health service in Korbach or Frankenberg on fixed dates, it can now also be attended online regardless of location - from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Catering, butchers or fresh food counters: people who work with food are legally obliged under the Infection Protection Act to attend regular hygiene training. However, these work areas in particular are often tied to working hours that make it difficult to attend the training on certain dates in Korbach or Frankenberg. To make it easier to attend, the Health Service has now made it possible to complete the training online. "From now on, the hygiene training can be completed from the comfort of your sofa with just one click. We are thus taking a further step towards digitalisation and making it easier for our citizens to access the training, which is extremely important for their livelihood," said Karl-Friedrich Frese, Head of the Health Department and First District Councillor.
How exactly does the online instruction work? On the website of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg, the page "Hygiene instruction" can be found and clicked on under the search term "instruction". The process is explained step by step on this page. Click on "Book appointment now" to select a desired date. 15 minutes before or after the agreed appointment, the person receives a call to verify their identity. This is done, for example, with an identity card. The training can then be completed online within 40 minutes. After successful participation, the certificate is available for download.
