Coming Out Days
Coming Out Days
Coming Out Days: celebrating diversity, promoting acceptance: International Coming Out Day on 11 October stands for courage and solidarity. Courage for those who come out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, inter* or queer, and solidarity from society as a whole. During the campaign week, the district and many partners are sending out a strong signal in favour of acceptance and equality. In Waldeck-Frankenberg, all people should be able to live their sexual orientation and gender identity openly and without fear of discrimination. Visibility is crucial to breaking down prejudices and creating a deeper understanding of the diverse realities of life for LGBTIQ* people. With inspiring events and exciting workshops, the aim is to provide information, raise awareness and celebrate diversity!
The district is once again organising Coming Out Days in 2025 - from 6 to 12 October. Organisations and associations are cordially invited to take part in the Coming Out Days - with a campaign, an event or an idea. Feedback is welcome by e-mail until 1 July.
