Team Ehrenamt des Landkreises invites to online events

Volunteer work is the engine of our society in many areas. Probably no association could exist if it were not for the voluntary "caretakers" who work on an unpaid basis. To support the countless volunteers in Waldeck-Frankenberg, the "Team Ehrenamt" (Volunteer Team) started its work in the district last year. The project "Volunteers? Läuft!" project and the coordination centre for civic engagement are located in the village and regional development department.

Team Ehrenamt" is now starting 2021 with a series of online events for people involved in associations, initiatives and projects. On 4 and 18 February 2021, "Facebook Starter Kit" will teach beginners and newcomers how to gain a foothold in the world of Facebook. On 16 February 2021, the focus will be on possibilities for financial support: "On the road in the funding jungle: regional = first choice!" and on 23 February 2021, the pandemic and its impact on association activities will be the subject of the online seminar: "Corona crisis: standstill in the association?". All events will take place from 6 to 8 pm.

The basic online workshop "Facebook Starter Kit" is led by Mr Tom Noeding. He is a lecturer for social media marketing at the Volkshochschule Frankfurt/Main. The first module of the seminar on 4 February focuses on content creation with answers to questions such as: "What does a post consist of?" or "What useful free tools and resources are there?". The second module on 18 February deals with community moderation. Here, Tom Noeding will talk about topics such as: "What motivations drive users to participate?" or "How to classify comments correctly and react to them?", but also how to deal with difficult user types. Both workshops can be booked independently of each other, but experience with Facebook is required for the second module.

The speaker for the "Funding Jungle" on 16 February is Mr Daniel Pichert, who as a funding and financing expert for the non-profit sector has written the book "Erfolgreich Fördermittel einwerben". He wants to help small actors and initiatives to find their way through the funding jungle and to find institutions that support their association or project financially. Gunter Kurzius and Robert Kosch will be available to speak at the seminar "Standstill in the Association" on 23 February. Gunter Kurzius advises as a lawyer in the field of non-profit organisations, Robert Kosch has many years of experience in the field of digital communication. Among other things, they want to point out possibilities for associations to make decisions and remain capable of acting even in times of crisis.

The "Team Ehrenamt" cordially invites all interested parties to participate in the seminars free of charge. However, as the number of participants is limited to one person per association for all four events, we ask for binding registration by 2 February 2021 at ehrenamt@lkwafkb.de. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. The "Team Ehrenamt" will also be happy to answer questions, which can also be submitted at ehrenamt@lkwafkb.de.
