Registration and driving licence office closed from 2 to 13 March
In order to improve customer service, work processes and data protection in the registration and driving licence office, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg is converting its previous open-plan offices in the district building in Korbach into modern single and double workstations. During the construction work, the registration and driving licence office in the district building in Korbach is therefore temporarily moving to other premises - on the ground floor in the left wing in rooms 20 to 30. It will be closed from 2 to 13 March due to the move. Availability by telephone may also be limited.
Reopened on 16 March
On Monday, 16 March, the driving licence and registration office will once again be available to all customers for their car and driving licence needs - then in the new temporary premises, which can be reached via the main entrance to the district building.
Deal with matters at other branch offices
During the closure, the other registration offices in Bad Arolsen, Bad Wildungen, Frankenberg and Battenberg are available - by prior appointment. For matters relating to driving licences, customers can contact the driving licence office in Frankenberg in urgent cases. Here too, an appointment must be made in advance. All information and contact details for making an appointment can be found here.
Use online services
In addition, numerous matters relating to transport can already be dealt with quickly and easily digitally with just a few clicks. Further information and an overview of the online services can be found here. Simply enter the desired keyword in the search mask and the services available online - such as "Apply for driving licence online" or "Register vehicle online" - will be displayed at a glance.
Modern and service-oriented contact point
The renovation of the driving licence and registration office is expected to last until summer 2027. After that, customers will have access to a new, modern and service-oriented contact point for all driving licence and registration matters - including a separate customer and back office area. "The new single and double offices offer fast and undisturbed advice for various applications and personal consultations," reports Petra Gerhold, head of the district's transport department. "Compared to the previous open-plan offices, this will be a significant improvement for both our customers and our employees."
