Children make circus: Taster week in February
The sports and youth work department of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district and the youth welfare department of the town of Frankenberg are offering a taster week for the project "Children make circus" again this year. From 13 - 16 February 2023, the educational circus Dobbelino with circus director Roman von Dobbeler will come to Frankenberg (Eder) to the gym of the Ortenberg School. The morning is reserved for school classes, all other children can register for a taster course from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 14 February, or Wednesday, 15 February.
During the taster week, many circus activities can be tried out: Ball running, juggling, fakir, trapeze and tightrope walking are among the activities on the programme. The taster course costs 5 euros per child, both in the school classes and for all interested children on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons. If the children "catch fire" during the taster week, they can sign up for the circus project. It takes place at the Wehrweide in Frankenberg (Eder) in the penultimate week before the Hessian summer holidays from 9 to 15 July 2023.
On Sunday, 12 July 2023, there will be a training course for young people who would like to be trainers for the educational circus project in July. This training will also take place in the gym of the Ortenberg School.
