Market at the castle in Bad Arolsen on 11 May

The agricultural department of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg - supported by the town of Bad Arolsen, the Welcome Hotel and the Sparkasse Waldeck-Frankenberg - cordially invites you to the popular "Market at the Castle", which will take place on Mother's Day, 11 May, from 11 am to 6 pm in the picturesque ambience of the Bad Arolsen Residential Castle. The market is not only a meeting place for connoisseurs and explorers, but also an important showcase for the cultural and culinary diversity of the region.

With 99 stalls, the "Markt am Schloss" offers a wealth of local products and craftsmanship. Under the motto "Experience and taste home", direct marketers and artists from the surrounding area present their high-quality and unique specialities. Culinary highlights include fresh pasture milk products, savoury homemade sausages, traditionally baked products and exquisite beekeeping products. Lovers of arts and crafts will also get their money's worth - from handmade pottery to artistic wooden sculptures, there is plenty to discover. Admission is free of charge.

"The 'Markt am Schloss' is a prime example of the strength of our region. We cordially invite all guests to experience our local delicacies and the diversity of our handicraft products. Together with our direct marketers, we contribute to the sustainable value creation of our rural businesses," said District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst about the popular event. He will officially open the "Market at the Castle" on 11 May at 12:30 pm. Dorothea Loth from the agricultural department added: "It is impressive to see how varied our local products are. The market is not only a platform for sales, but also a place to exchange ideas and get to know our farms."

Musical entertainment will be provided by Maggus - The One-Man-Band, "Barleycorn" from Korbach and the guitar duo "Sixty-Four". The programme is rounded off by various activities such as offers from the specialist sports and youth work service, a children's carousel, face painting fun and information about regional agriculture. "We are looking forward to welcoming many visitors to Bad Arolsen on Mother's Day. Here they can experience the special atmosphere of the `Markt am Schloss' and be surprised by the regional diversity," concludes Marko Lambion, Mayor of Bad Arolsen.
