Rallies for CITY CYCLING
From 1 to 21 June, cycling enthusiasts from all towns and municipalities and under the umbrella of the district can once again put their pedals to the metal - and cover as many kilometres as possible by bike. Anyone can take part. Be it on the way to training or work, for shopping or in your free time in Waldeck-Frankenberg's beautiful natural landscape - every kilometre counts in the competition. Further information - including registration - can be found here.
On 1 June, there will be small rallies to the Edertal Bike Park. The routes have been chosen so that children can also take part. This will be followed by a family festival at the bike park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., jointly organised by the district and the national park community of Edertal.
All Edertal districts are connected to the four family-friendly cycle tours. The routes are planned so that children can join in without any major difficulties. The timetable is based on a cycling speed of approx. 15 km/h, so that even "organic bikers" can easily join in. We ask those taking part to arrive at the meeting point in the district approx. 15 minutes before the departure time. Of course, non-Edertalers can also take part - they just have to plan their own journey to the meeting point. It is not necessary to register for the rally, which takes place in all weathers. The tours will probably be led by a guide.
Please note that there are no charging facilities for e-bike riders at the destination. The return journey is your own responsibility. You can take the train from Herzhausen station or Wega station to get there by public transport. Participation in the rally is at your own risk. All bikes must be equipped in accordance with the road traffic licensing regulations and the road traffic regulations apply. Helmets are compulsory.
