State vocational schools

  • Performance specification

The Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration is the school authority for the state vocational schools in Northern and Southern Hesse, which train young people with disabilities in cooperation with the respective vocational training centre.

The Berufsbildungswerke (vocational training centres) and the Staatliche Berufsschulen (state vocational schools) have the common mission of vocational and social support for young people with disabilities. They promote the individual development of young people who can only successfully complete vocational training with the special assistance of the Berufsbildungswerk (BBW) and the state vocational school. The young people are comprehensively supported and advised in the development of their personality by a team of trainers, teachers and social education workers, psychologists and physiotherapists. Goals and support are developed and planned individually with each trainee.
