District council meeting takes place on 1 February in Mengeringhausen

The next meeting of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district council will take place on Monday, 1 February at 2 p.m. in the town hall in Mengeringhausen. There, the members of the district council will meet - in strict compliance with hygiene and distance regulations - to discuss in particular issues that fall within the exclusive competence of the district council. Participation of interested parties is possible - but only with prior registration.

The meeting is planned as a face-to-face event, since, among other things, far-reaching decisions such as the adoption of the 2021 district budget have to be made, notes district council chairwoman Iris Ruhwedel. The state government therefore explicitly requires the people's representatives to hold face-to-face meetings during the Corona pandemic, especially because of the necessity and importance of the decisions to be taken. However, these will be conducted under strict hygiene and distance regulations - and will not last longer than necessary. The agenda has been designed accordingly and speaking times have also been limited. Here, too, the focus is on infection control.

The public meeting will take place in Mengeringhausen, as the town hall there is large enough and suitable to be able to comply with the current safety regulations surrounding the coronavirus. However, in order to be able to implement the distance and hygiene regulations, only a limited number of seats are available for the public. Interested parties are therefore requested to register in advance by calling 05631 - 954 325 or e-mailing: kreisorgane@lkwafkb.de. Guests will be collected from the main entrance shortly before the meeting begins. Participation in the meeting is only possible with a medical mouth-nose mask. Information on the current agenda of the district council meeting is available online at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de.
