Initiative "Trau Dich, hau nicht!" offers help for perpetrators of violence

Protect families, help offenders: This is the aim of the initiative "Trau Dich, hau nicht!", which supports the work of the women's office of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. Counselling appointments for perpetrators of violence can now take place again - in compliance with the applicable hygiene, distance and safety measures. The offer is also directed at victims, relatives, friends and institutions.

The treatment group is aimed at men from the age of 18 who have perpetrated violence in a domestic context - or still do. Within the framework of the support offered by the initiative, those affected learn non-violent ways of acting - in conflict situations, in the partnership or in the family. The offer is primarily intended to protect families and help perpetrators.

Support is available in various forms - professional, unbureaucratic and fast. Together we work out ways to solve social problems without violence. Personal counselling sessions will take place this year - taking into account the current pandemic situation and the applicable hygiene, distance and safety measures - on the following dates: from 19 March, 16, 17, 30 April, 7, 19, 28 May, 11, 25, 26 June, 27 August, 10, 24 September, 29, 30 October, 19 November, 10 December. They always take place on Fridays from 4.15 - to 7 pm and on Saturdays between 9 am and 12 noon.

Interested parties can register for the offer by calling 0151-41697040. The meetings take place in Korbach and are run by the provider "Aattacke". The project is run by Initiative Kiste e.V. Korbach and is supported by the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg.
