Management report only every two days from 1 October

The coronavirus incidence figures are falling, the vaccination centres in Hesse were closed on 30 September and the pandemic situation has eased considerably. This is also having an impact on the work of the Waldeck-Frankenberg coronavirus crisis team, which usually met every week to discuss the next steps for dealing with the pandemic. "We can now move on to regular operations here," explained Karl-Friedrich Frese, First District Councillor and Head of the Health Department, adding that the health department will now take over the management of the pandemic situation. The crisis team will remain in place, but will only meet on an event-driven basis, e.g. if there is a significant increase in the number of infections.

One consequence of the relaxed pandemic situation is that from 1 October, the pandemic situation report will only be published every two days. In future, citizens will receive the relevant data on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays via the district's website or via the local media, i.e. in the print media on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In addition to the number of new infections in the district, the situation report will continue to include the breakdown of infections by municipality and the 7-day incidence.

"Anyone who received their first vaccination at the vaccination centre shortly before it closed will receive their second vaccination from our public health department," Frese points out once again. Two appointments are available for this, on 9 October and 16 October directly on the premises of the health department Am Kniep in Korbach. A total of 429 people will be fully vaccinated after their second vaccination and will be counted as vaccinated within 14 days in accordance with the Coronavirus Protection Ordinance of the state of Hesse. The exact date of the vaccinees' second appointment at the public health department is shown on the documents they received when they were first vaccinated.
