Network for Tolerance on Instagram: Presentation on 27 April
The work of the Network for Tolerance Waldeck-Frankenberg is to be accompanied by a youth editorial team. In this context, there is a new project: an Instagram channel. To present the project, the Network for Tolerance invites all interested young people aged 14 to 23 to the Korbach Youth Centre on Wednesday, 27 April 2022. There, from 6 p.m., there will be live music by Nadine Fingerhut and a screening of the film "Der deutsche Kleinstädter", which was shot in and about Frankenberg (Eder).
It is hosted by Marvin Fischer from Fischer and Co. radio. The ultimate goal is to establish the Instagram channel "leeres blatt_wafkb", where news from young people for young people from the region will be posted. What exactly is of interest is decided by the young people themselves. In order to build up a team and familiarise themselves with the task, they will first work with the film "Der deutsche Kleinstädter" (The German Small Town Man) from 27 April. Shot in Frankenberg in 1968, the film asks what life in the small town is like for people of different ages and professions.
Whether the answers are different today than they were back then? That's exactly what the youth editorial team is supposed to find out and report on the Instagram channel. The young people will be trained and accompanied by professionals in five workshops. The first workshop will take place on 7/8 May at the youth centre in Korbach; in addition to an entertaining team-building session, it will include training by social media expert Kristin Nebel on the topic of "Instagram for professionals". The Waldeckische Landeszeitung is also involved in the project, supporting the participants in their research work and in the question "What makes a news story worth reading?
The Network for Tolerance is a partnership for democracy and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs as part of the programme "Live Democracy!" and by the state of Hesse in the programme "Hesse active for democracy, against extremism".
