New Parkinson's self-help group is founded in Korbach

After the Parkinson's self-help group in Korbach could no longer be continued due to corona, it is now re-establishing itself. This was made possible thanks to support from the Waldeck-Frankenberg self-help centre.

The first meeting of the Parkinson's self-help group will take place on 20 September from 3 - 4:30 p.m. in the "Markuslaube" of the Markuskirche in Düsseldorfer Straße in Korbach. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend - participation is free of charge and refreshments will be provided. Occupational therapist Cristof Nolte will give a talk on "Coping with everyday life with Parkinson's disease".

As the owner of the occupational therapy practice of the same name in Korbach, Cristof Nolte has been working with Parkinson's patients for a long time and knows the clinical picture and how to deal with the disease very well. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to talk to each other. Patients and relatives are cordially invited to actively participate in the discussion group. Group meetings are planned to take place regularly once or twice a month in Korbach.

The staff of the Self-Help Contact Point will moderate the event on 20 September and will be available to answer all questions about group-based self-help. In order to facilitate planning, please register by 19 September with the Self-Help Contact Point by phone 05631 954-888 or by e-mail shk@lkwafkb.de.
