Land & Genuss trade fair not until 2023: Special trains to Gießen cancelled
The "Land & Genuss" fair was to be held in Gießen for the first time this year. The years before, the exhibition halls in Frankfurt am Main were its location. However, due to the current developments of the Corona pandemic - especially because of the sharp increase in the number of infections - the fair now had to be cancelled for 2022. Together, the organiser agra Veranstaltungs GmbH and its partners as well as the exhibitors have decided accordingly.
"In view of the continuing uncertain overall situation in connection with the Corona pandemic, we as organisers see no possibility of holding Land & Genuss in an appropriate form as a consumer fair for all exhibitors and visitors," says Alexandra Feldmann, Managing Director of agra Veranstaltungs GmbH. "The health and safety of visitors, exhibitors, partners and employees are the top priority in this situation." The premiere of the fair in Gießen has been postponed to 17-19 March 2023.
As the trade fair planned for 18 to 20 March 2022 in Gießen will now not take place, which the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg very much regrets, the planned special train to the trade fair cannot start either. The people who have already registered for the trip have been informed by the agricultural department.
Land & Genuss builds a bridge between city and country. The consumer fair informs about current topics in the areas of rural areas, regional food, agriculture and gardening and thus brings visitors closer to Germany's rural and culinary diversity. In recent years, it has become an important platform for producers of regional specialities and tourist attractions in rural areas. The agriculture department is also participating in the fair to provide an insight into the diversity of Waldeck-Frankenberg from the areas of direct marketing and agriculture, but also nature conservation and tourism.
