County relaxes Corona rules in administrative offices from 1 June

In recent months, strict Corona rules have been in force in the administrative offices of the district - to protect visitors and staff. As of 1 June, the district will relax the rules.

Masks no longer compulsory - buta recommendation
From then on, wearing a mask in the administrative offices of the district will no longer be
compulsory, but only a recommendation. Nevertheless, the head of the district's health department recommends that visitors and staff continue to wear nasal-mouth protection: "The best protection against infection with the coronavirus is to wear an FFP2 mask. Not only on the premises of the district administration, but especially in conversational situations where the minimum distance cannot always be maintained." The medical doctor therefore continues to recommend this voluntary protective measure.

Personal visitsby appointment
In addition,
personalappointments in the district administration will still only be possible by prior appointment from June, but again in the offices of the respective clerks. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, this has only been possible in designated rooms until June. As of 1 June, personal consultations by prior appointment will take place in the offices again for the first time.

"We decided to keep the appointment system because the past years have shown that it has proven its worth," reports Andreas Mann, the district office manager. If fixed appointments are made, visitors have no waiting time and the guarantee that they will also be advised on their concerns in the agreed time. Although open office hours seem to be more flexible, in the past they have always led to little planning security and, above all, to applicants having to wait a long time in the administrative offices. In addition, by making an appointment, the case workers can also prepare better for the interview, look through the relevant documents in advance - and thus advise the persons even better and more individually.

Book your desired appointment with just a few clicks
Appointments can be made at the district office by telephone, and for some specialised services also online. At the moment, online appointments can be made for the traffic services - i.e. the driver's licence office and the registration office - as well as for the immigration service. In the coming months, however, other departments will be added step by step.

On the district's website at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/online-termin , you can make an appointment online and select the area in which you would like to make an appointment. You will then be taken to an input mask where you can select your specific request. After entering the personal data and confirming the data protection declaration, you can select a suitable appointment from the proposed appointments, which is then booked directly online. In the case of specialised services that are represented at several locations in Waldeck-Frankenberg, you can first select the desired location where the counselling should take place. Finally, a confirmation email is sent with a link that must be clicked on within two hours in order to confirm the appointment. The appointment is then firmly reserved. If in doubt, you can also cancel the appointment via this e-mail.
