New Omikron vaccine: special vaccination day on September 17

This week, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district will receive the first shipment of the new Corona vaccine against Omikron variant BA.1. For this reason, there will be a special booster vaccination day at the vaccination centers in Korbach and Bad Wildungen on Saturday, September 17.

Vaccinations will be offered at the new Korbach Mini Vaccination Center location at Briloner Landstraße 35 on Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; in Bad Wildungen at the train station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There, anyone age twelve and older can get boostered with the Corona vaccine tailored to Omikron variant BA.1. A second booster vaccination may be given to persons 60 years of age or older or those at increased risk for severe COVID-19 due to an underlying disease. The last vaccination should be at least three months ago.

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg continues to call on people to take advantage of the public vaccination offers in order to protect themselves and others against the coronavirus in the best possible way. In this context, attention is also drawn once again to the facility-related vaccination obligation, which has applied to certain facilities since mid-March of this year - and makes vaccination mandatory for certain occupational groups. The following should be brought to the vaccination: The health insurance card and, if possible, the vaccination certificate, ID card and, if possible, the completed information sheets and medical history and information sheets for the respective vaccines.
