New Omikron vaccine: Special vaccination day on 17 September

This week, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg will receive the first delivery of the new Corona vaccine against the Omikron variant BA.1. For this reason, there will be a special vaccination day for booster vaccinations at the vaccination centres in Korbach and Bad Wildungen on Saturday, 17 September.

Vaccinations will be offered at the new location of the Korbach Mini Vaccination Centre at Briloner Landstraße 35 on 17 September from 10 am to 1 pm; in Bad Wildungen at the train station from 9 am to 1 pm. There, anyone over the age of twelve can get boostered with the Corona vaccine tailored to the Omikron variant BA.1. A second booster vaccination can be given to people aged 60 and over or those at increased risk of severe COVID-19 due to an underlying disease. The last vaccination should be at least three months ago.

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg continues to call on people to take advantage of the public vaccination offers in order to protect themselves and others against the coronavirus in the best possible way. In this context, attention is also drawn once again to the institution-related vaccination obligation, which has been in force for certain institutions since the middle of March this year - and which makes vaccination obligatory for certain occupational groups. The following should be brought to the vaccination: The health insurance card and, if possible, the vaccination certificate, identity card and, if possible, the completed information sheets and medical history and information sheets for the respective vaccines.
