Self-help contact point offers 2nd digital breakfast on 21 September

In a self-help group, people meet who suffer from a similar problem, illness or disability. The self-help contact point of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district supports the groups in the district in their work. "Self-help is an important pillar of the German health system," emphasises Heike Eschler, who coordinates the contact point. Moreover, self-help effectively complements the professional work of doctors and therapists.

The services offered by the self-help contact point based in Korbach include monthly consultation days in Bad Wildungen and Battenberg or workshops, as well as self-help walks and self-help cafés. On 8 August, another topic was added to the offer: the "Digital Self-Help Breakfast". Over a hot drink and a pastry, fruit or muesli in front of the computer screen at home, the participants could casually exchange ideas with self-help activists, people interested in self-help and the staff of the self-help contact point.

Now a second "Digital Self-Help Breakfast" will take place on 21 September from 10 to 11 a.m.; as in the first edition, the "Big Blue Button" platform will be used. If you are interested, please contact the Self-Help Contact Point by e-mail at shk@lkwafkb.de; you will be sent the link to dial in for the Self-Help Breakfast. Further questions about the event on 21 September or about self-help in general will also be gladly answered at the above-mentioned e-mail address or by calling 05631 954-888.
