Next district council meeting in Korbach on 18 December

District council chairman Rainer Hesse cordially invites all interested parties to attend the last district council meeting in 2023. The meeting will take place on Monday, 18 December 2023, from 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the district building in Korbach. Among the 11 items on the agenda, the chairman of the district council will highlight the presentation and justification of the district budget for the coming year by District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst.

However, the other items on the agenda are also worth a visit. For example, "Kreisausgleichsstock 2.0" is about an investment lump sum for financially weak municipalities. The association "Regionale Energieagentur Waldeck-Frankenberg e. V." will be founded as part of the district's climate protection and adaptation management programme and a climate adaptation concept will be drawn up. In addition, the new version of the district's waste disposal statutes and the 4th amendment to the waste fee statutes are to be adopted.

The district council also discusses the acquisition of two shares in Touristik Service Waldeck-Ederbergland GmbH from Touristikverband Waldecker Land e.V. and receives the report on budget implementation for the third quarter of 2023 based on the financial accounts. Finally, the committee is informed about the approval of unbudgeted expenditure in the areas of "social facilities", "special schools" and "non-scientific museums, collections".
