Cook meets tractor: Farm tour of the eco-model region on 26 August
The Waldeck-Frankenberg ecomodel region, which is part of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district's agricultural department, invites you to a farm tour on 26 August. From 9.15 a.m. to 3 p.m., four farms with very different agricultural products are on the programme. The free programme is aimed primarily at chefs, but also at other interested parties from the catering sector.
In keeping with the motto "Chef meets tractor", the farm tour serves to familiarise visitors with farms and their products. Making regional agriculture tangible and establishing contacts between producers and the out-of-home catering sector in order to jointly explore new ways of marketing regional products - this is what the eco-model region aims to achieve with its offer. In addition, a regional supply structure and a value chain are to be established and cooperation between agriculture and catering is to be promoted. The aim is to develop a regional speciality dish.
The free tour starts on 26 August at the Krähling organic farm, with participants travelling there on their own. Registrations are possible from now until 12 August 2025 at the Ökomodell-Region by e-mail or by calling 05631 954-2161.
