Parents' café with reading programme for parents with small children in Korbach

The parents' café with a reading programme for parents with small children (mainly 0-3 years old) is run by the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg in cooperation with the Korbach public libraries. The events take place in a child-friendly environment and are supervised by a library employee and an educational specialist.

A child-friendly environment and guidance by library staff as well as a pedagogical specialist offer the best conditions for all visitors to the parents' café to spend a few pleasant hours in the public libraries. Parents can look forward to interesting and stimulating readings, and can go on a journey of discovery into the world of books together with their child. In addition, parents and children can borrow so-called discovery backpacks, which are filled with e.g. age-appropriate picture books, read-aloud books, a hand puppet, a radio play and a Tonie figure.
