Apply for compensation under the Infection Protection Act for operating costs not covered

  • Performance specification

In the event of a ban on activities or a quarantine, you as a self-employed person or self-employed person have a claim to compensation for loss of earnings as well as a claim to reimbursement of continuing non-covered business expenses, such as rent or loans.

This only applies in the case of a threat to existence and only for operating costs that cannot be avoided.

You also need to keep operating costs as low as possible.

Reimbursement shall be made to an appropriate extent.

This is a so-called "optional benefit". This means that the authorities have leeway in assessing whether a claim exists and how high it is.
