Since 2022, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg - and with it many of its towns and municipalities - has been taking part in the international STADTRADELN campaign of the Climate Alliance. In this way, all people in Waldeck-Frankenberg can do good for the environment by entering all their kilometres travelled by bike into the competition during the campaign period. For 21 days, they should cycle as many kilometres as possible in a climate-friendly way - and "cycle" as many kilometres as possible in the process. Every kilometre cycled will be counted individually. There are great prizes to be won. The STADTRADELN campaign aims to promote cycling, climate protection and quality of life in municipalities - and ultimately to make cycling more fun.

CITY CYCLING 2026

From XX June, cycling enthusiasts from all towns and municipalities and under the umbrella of the district can once again put their pedals to the metal - and cover as many kilometres as possible by bike. Anyone can take part. Be it on the way to training or work, for shopping or in your free time in Waldeck-Frankenberg's beautiful natural landscape - every kilometre counts in the competition.

Kick-off event

On X. June there will be small rallies to the Edertal Bike Park. The routes have been chosen so that children can also take part. This will be followed by an event at the monastery in Frankenberg from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., which is being organised jointly with the town of Frankenberg.
