Monument Protection Award: Applications until 31 May

In 2021, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg will once again award a monument conservation prize for special, exemplary achievements in monument conservation. Natural persons and legal entities who have carried out a building project in the district as private building owners can apply for the monument protection award or be proposed as award winners. The prize consists of a financial contribution of up to 2,500 euros and is divisible.

Monument authorities, municipalities, associations, societies and individual citizens are invited to submit proposals for the Monument Protection Award. Self-applications are also permitted. The application/nomination must be accompanied by documents that are sufficient for an assessment of the achievement, e.g. a chronological sequence of the building history and the restoration history with pictures (previous state/conversion phases/new state), planning documents, e.g. building survey, building investigation, restoration investigations, building application, comparison before/after, building permit or permit under monument protection law, press notes.

The exemplary monument conservation achievements recognised by the award shall be published in an appropriate manner. Therefore, the participants in the selection procedure allow the Waldeck-Frankenberg district to publish the documents when they send them. Any copyright claims of the entrants that go beyond the right of publication shall of course remain unaffected.

Applications and nominations, preferably in digital form, will be accepted under the keyword "Denkmalschutzpreis 2021" at the district committee of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, Untere Denkmalschutzbehörde, Südring 2, 34497 Korbach. Nominations must be received by the district by 31 May 2021. The Lower Monument Protection Authority hopes that many building owners will participate.
