From 20 December: 3G rule in administrative buildings of the district

From next Monday, 20 December, the 3G rule will apply in the Korbach district office, in the Frankenberg administrative office and in all other administrative buildings of the district. Anyone who has to do something at the district must prove that they have been vaccinated, have recovered or have been tested within the last 24 hours before the visit. When entering the buildings, a recognised and valid document of status must be presented in conjunction with the identity card. For pupils up to the age of 16, the school test certificate is sufficient.

District Administrator Dr Reinhard Kubat announced that he had decreed this in the exercise of his domestic authority: "The district has so far refrained from a restrictive regulation, but even with the 3G rule, all citizens have access". As an employer, the district has a duty of care towards its employees and is required to ensure the greatest possible protection. Even though the incidence in Waldeck-Frankenberg is clearly below the national average, the spread of highly contagious virus mutations makes it necessary to take every possible protective measure.

The already practised rule that visitors to the district facilities must make an appointment in advance - either directly from the responsible clerks or for some specialised services also via the online appointment system at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/online-termin- continues to apply. The District Administrator appeals to the citizens to show understanding. He said that the full range of services would continue to be available, but that it was equally in the interest of visitors and district office staff that high security standards were applied in view of the still considerable incidence of infection.
