Final dates for first vaccinations on 4 and 6 September
The state of Hesse has decided to close the vaccination centres throughout the state at the end of the month - including the one in Korbach. People who want to be vaccinated will therefore only have the chance to get their first vaccination there on 4 and 6 September. At the end of September - shortly before the centre closes - those vaccinated for the first time will also receive the second dose there to complete the vaccination series. After that, vaccinations are only possible at the GPs. Saturday and Monday are therefore the last dates on which first-time vaccinations against the coronavirus are possible at the centre. Pre-registration is not necessary.
This coming Saturday, 4 September, several paediatricians from Waldeck-Frankenberg will once again be on site to advise parents on all questions concerning the immunisation of children against the coronavirus and to weigh up the pros and cons together with them and their children. Parents, children from the age of twelve and adolescents can come to the centre on Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 3 p.m., find out about the vaccination - and get one if they wish.
However, all others who wish to be vaccinated can also receive their first vaccination on this day and, if possible, on Monday, 6 September. This day will then be the last date on which this is possible in order to be able to complete the vaccination series with the second injection at the centre at the end of September - after the vaccination interval has been observed. District Administrator Dr. Reinhard Kubat and First District Commissioner and Head of the Health Department Karl-Friedrich Frese once again urge people to take advantage of the offer and get vaccinated - also in view of the county-wide increase in incidence in line with the national trend and the upcoming cold season: "Let's use the time now so that we can break or flatten out another wave of infection. Those who get vaccinated not only protect themselves, but also everyone else."
If possible, you should bring your health insurance card and your yellow vaccination card with you so that the vaccination can be recorded there. From now on, the vaccination centre will only be open on Mondays from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be closed the rest of the week - unless there are special vaccination campaigns such as the counselling day for parents, children and adolescents. Special vaccination events will be announced in good time.
