Free further training: Designing regional participation processes

Involving interested and affected people in planning processes is becoming more and more popular: people become participants, they think along, bring in their interests, look for overarching solutions. The HESSENCAMPUS Waldeck-Frankenberg, together with the Protestant Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck (EKKW), is now offering further training for people who are interested in accompanying and supporting planning processes with a proven moderation technique. Prior knowledge is required for the free training.

Regional participation processes enable the participation and involvement of the different interests of people from the region. They are therefore not only suitable for projects in a school context, but also in a vocational context. New, creative solutions are developed through participation processes.

The training is conducted by the team of the organisation "Frischer Wind" from Switzerland - pioneers and leading organisers in the implementation of large group methods in regional or organisational contexts. The training will focus on:

  • Experience of the basic methods of large group facilitation (Future Search Conference, Real Time Strategic Change, Open Space Technology, World Café and Appreciatice Inquiry),
  • Introduction and reflection of the methods,
  • Impulses for application in your own context (groups of 8 to 800 people),
  • Opportunities for practical testing of the acquired knowledge in a team during a regional participation process (regional conference in a church district of the EKKW),
  • Exchange and networking with like-minded people.

The further training offer is aimed at people who already have experience in working with groups and committees, but who would like to deepen and expand their knowledge and qualify themselves to carry out regional participation processes. As part of the project "Initiating regional participation processes", the further training is financed by funds from the EKKW and the state of Hesse; participation is therefore free of charge.

Informal applications are accepted until 8 May 2022 from the Protestant Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck at reformprozess@ekkw.de. Information about the training is also available on the website of the HESSENCAMPUS Waldeck Frankenberg www.hessencampus-waldeck-frankenberg.de.
