District extends school closure recommendation to Friday

Due to the continuing extreme weather conditions in Waldeck-Frankenberg, the district, in consultation with the State Education Authority, is extending its recommendation to close schools for classes to Friday, 18 February. However, the final decision will be made by each school independently. The current feedback from the schools is constantly updated on the district's website .

The German Weather Service continues to warn of squalls up to and including Friday. The district's recommendation to close schools therefore remains in effect for tomorrow, Friday. Furthermore, the schools in Waldeck-Frankenberg are asked to forward their information to the district by e-mail to: presse@lkwafkb.de so that it can be published centrally online.

All information that the district receives from the school administrations regarding closure, emergency care and home schooling is listed there in an overview - sorted by towns and municipalities. The information is without guarantee. In case of doubt, parents are asked to contact their children's schools directly.
