District and district hospital cooperate closely

Through the mini-vaccination centres in Waldeck-Frankenberg, which the district has been organising for several months, the general practitioners in private practice are supported in the best possible way in the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. In future, the district will cooperate even more closely with the district hospital in Frankenberg in order to continue to offer the best possible vaccination programme in the southern district.

The mini vaccination centre in Frankenberg is located in the premises in the lower building of the district hospital in Forststraße 9a. In the past months, around 3,500 people have been vaccinated and boostered there. "This will continue in the future - prospectively even until the end of September 2022, because until then the federal and state governments will allow the districts to continue operating vaccination centres. Together with our district hospital, we have a reliable partner in the southern district," explains Karl-Friedrich Frese, First District Commissioner of the district. "People who want to be immunised there will continue to have the opportunity to do so here."

The Frankenberg district hospital will also support the campaign accordingly. "After the district's mini-vaccination centre in the rooms of the district hospital was very well received, it made sense in perspective to also take over the administrative and personnel responsibility through our clinic. We are in the starting blocks to play our part in providing Corona vaccinations close to home. Every vaccination that reduces the risk of hospitalisation in the event of infection thus also benefits ourselves," explains Managing Director Margarete Janson. According to current plans, vaccinations will continue to take place here on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the coming months. People who want to be vaccinated do not have to make an appointment, but can come by without making an appointment.

"We would like to thank the district hospital and all its employees for their commitment so far and for continuing to support us with vaccinations," says District Administrator and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the district hospital Jürgen van der Horst. "Like all hospitals in these challenging times, they are making an immeasurable contribution to the fight against the coronavirus - and with vaccinations, one of the most important building blocks in containing the pandemic."

To ensure that the vaccinations can continue to run smoothly in the future, those willing to be vaccinated should always bring the following documents with them to the vaccination: The health insurance card, an identity document and, if possible, the vaccination certificate. Those who have already been vaccinated should also have the documents of their first or second vaccination ready. In addition, the "Information sheet on vaccination against Covid-19 with mRNA vaccine" must be brought along. Furthermore, the "Medical history and consent form for vaccination against Covid-19 with mRNA vaccine" must be brought along. Both documents should be filled out completely if possible.
