New dates for the mini-vaccination centres, new location for Korbach

In the coming weeks and months, you can continue to get vaccinated against the coronavirus at the district's mini-vaccination centres - in Korbach, Frankenberg and Bad Wildungen. The mini-vaccination centres in Korbach and Frankenberg are adjusting their vaccination times once again. The Korbach centre is moving to a new location.

Vaccinations in Frankenberg
In Frankenberg, you can get vaccinated against the coronavirus every first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting in June. The first appointment is on 4 June. The vaccinations will continue to take place in the lower building of the district hospital.

Vaccinations in Korbach
In Korbach, two more appointments are offered in June in the small Hauerhalle: On 4 and 18 June - both from 10 am to 1 pm. After that, the Mini Vaccination Centre will move to a new location in Briloner Landstraße 35b within Korbach. The reason for this is that the small Hauerhalle can then be used again for club and school sports. In the new premises at Briloner Landstraße 35b, there will then initially be a vaccination service on 16 July from 10 am to 1 pm. From August, vaccinations will then also take place regularly at the new location, as in Frankenberg, every first Saturday of the month from 10 am to 1 pm. Access to the new premises of the Korbach Mini Vaccination Centre is via Louis-Peter-Strasse.

Vaccinations in Bad Wildungen
There are no changes to the previous vaccination times in Bad Wildungen. Vaccinations will continue to be offered at the train station as before - but every second Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.

Child vaccinations in Korbach and Bad Wildungen
Recently, the Standing Commission on Vaccination also updated its vaccination recommendation for children aged five to eleven: According to this, girls and boys of this age without previous illnesses should receive a vaccination with an mRNA vaccine. Previously, the recommendation stipulated that only five to eleven-year-olds with previous illnesses should be vaccinated and children who have frequent contact with people in their environment with a high risk of a severe course. Therefore, at all vaccination dates at the Korbach and Bad Wildungen sites, children's vaccinations are also offered at all times, parallel to the vaccination of adults. The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg continues to call on people to take advantage of the public vaccination offers in order to protect themselves and others against the coronavirus in the best possible way.
