Farm tour at "Gut Kappel" as part of the Hessian Organic Days

Sustainable agriculture, biodiversity and species diversity - these are the keywords under which the Waldeck-Frankenberg eco-model region invites you to a farm tour at "Gut Kappel" in Bad Arolsen as part of the Hessian Organic Days. On the two Saturdays of 17 and 24 September, the Demeter farm will be open to all interested parties for a tour from 2 - 6 pm. The participation fee is 10 euros per person, and refreshments will be provided.

Gut Kappel is a farm with an eventful history that can be traced back to Celtic times. On the Demeter farm, biodiversity is practically lived and promoted. Humans, animals, plants and soil form their own farm organism. Biodynamic practice creates a culture of diversity for healthy development. The Hübner family has been running Gut Kappel since 2018 and is continuously developing, renovating and shaping a new future. The education of the next generation and international exchange are integrated into farm life.

The farm tours as part of the Hessian BioDays on 17 and 24 September will focus on the following topics:

  • sustainable agriculture,
  • Biodiversity and species diversity,
  • General husbandry of red high-altitude cattle,
  • Creating refuges for rare wildlife and insects on a farm,
  • Biodynamic farming with balanced crop rotations, and
  • Cultivation of old native crops such as lentil.

Registrations are possible until 14 September 2022 by email buero@gutkappel.de or by phone 05691 5004950. Ökomodell-Region and the Hübner family look forward to many farm visitors.
