Women's Office presents annual programme

Profession and career, health and life situations, personality, new beginnings and life planning as well as other special events: The programme of events for women that the Women's Office of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district has put together again this year is exciting and diverse.

Whether financial issues, women in leadership positions, life situations such as separation and divorce, or even mindfulness, health promotion or self-care: "Women will find numerous seminars, workshops and lectures on various topics and life situations in the programme," says the First District Commissioner of the district Karl-Friedrich Frese. "Further education is and remains an important building block for professional and personal development," adds the district's women's representative Beate Friedrich. For this reason, the Women's Office is offering a mix of old and new events in this year's programme, so that every interested woman can find something that suits her.

Dance demonstration and women's cinema on 14 February and 8 March
Highlights include a dance demonstration against violence against women and girls, in which the district will participate together with TSV Korbach as part of the "One Billion Rising" campaign on 14 February, and also International Women's Day on 8 March, when there will be a film evening with a champagne reception together with the Korbach cinema. The Women's Office will also participate in the nationwide Girls Day campaign.

First seminar on 15 February
The classical seminars and lectures start on 15 February at 5 p.m.: The Women's Office invites you to an online event on the topic of "Women and old-age provision". In her lecture, the speaker and lawyer Christa Benedik-Eßlinger will show, among other things, how marriage, for example, can affect financial provision decisions, and she will shed light on problems that often arise for women in particular. "Providing for oneself often takes a back seat to caring for family and dependents - with the risk of too little retirement provision for women," Friedrich explains. We would like to shed light on this topic in the first seminar of the year, which will take place online."
